Established in 1947
Travelers M.C. has been a family oriented Motorcycle Club right from the start.
We began with a little dirt track, and with the love of riding and racing in our hearts & soul.
Our 1st clubhouse was a little old chicken coop filled with chicken nest boxes. During the beginning, the women were not full patch members of the Travelers and so they had their own club and they were called the Travelettes . Over the years though the times changed, women became apart of the original club, clean-up and building a clubhouse started, modifications began, dirt track racing was instrumental for our survival, membership grew, lifelong friends made and riding was still the core.
Situated on 5 acres, the memories of the dirt track still exist while the pictures of past events & our members hang on our walls today. If you listen closely, you just may hear the sound of a motor reeving from years past.
Our very 1st event held was a snow run in January, 1948 drawing in over 80 riders and over 300 spectators from 3 states. Racing went on all day, a ton of food was served while last minute preps to the participants bikes were done in hopes of being crowned the Travelers Snow Run winner.
And though riding runs in our blood, family and friends are our lifeline.
Our children and grandchildren are our future.
Over the years, Travelers M.C. has been involved with helping friends, families, organizations, clubs and helping to make wishes come true.
We have supported A.M.A., Super Camp for area children, Make-A-Wish, the Kirin Brogan Memorial, Red Cross Blood drives, Salvation Army, Stand Against Child Abuse, Toledo Hospital Children's Pediatric Oncology Dept., BMX races for children, Toys for Tots and many, many other worthwhile causes.
